It's our Business to keep crime out of your Business

Nottingham Businesses Against Crime (NBAC) is a self-funding partnership of over 300 businesses in Nottingham supported by Nottinghamshire Police, Nottingham City Council, and the Nottingham Crime and Drugs Partnership (CDP), who have all joined together to combat crime affecting businesses across Nottingham city.

NBAC provides a direct link for businesses to connect with senior Police and Council officers to reduce crime affecting them and to get their views heard regarding crime or antisocial behaviour which is affecting their business.

It is NBAC’s role to listen to its members and to ensure that solutions are found to any criminal behaviour, crime, disorder, or antisocial behaviour that is affecting its members. This could be through causing NBAC members to lose business, stock or money, the staff to feel intimidated or unsafe or anything else connected to crime or antisocial behaviour that is generally causing the business to suffer.

NBAC supports both the businesses as a whole and the staff of those businesses who are being affected by crime and related issues in the course of their work.

The  Nottingham Businesses Against Crime coordination team is hosted by the CDP and through this arrangement is able to work with a number of different agencies to make life better for its members.
NBAC successfully works with the ASBO teams, Nottingham City Council Community Protection, Trading Standards, the Nottingham City Licensing Department, City Centre Management, The Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue service as well as both uniformed and plainclothes police teams. Through these working partnerships NBAC is able to share information, monitor offenders and reduce criminal activity affecting its members.
