Nottingham Crime & Drugs Partnership once again be at the Nottingham Pride festival, handing out anti-crime and safety advice to revellers, as well as goodies and giveaways.

The event kicks off from 12noon-6pm at the Arboretum Park, and is the culmination of the work of the city's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender/ transsexual communities.

Festival goers will enjoy this family day out with its live music, variety of arts & craft stalls and the on-site creche which will keep children entertained during the event.

New for 2009 - the Nottingham Pride March. Why not be the first to join the march which leaves from the Forest Recreation Ground at 11am. The march will walk from the Forest onto Mansfield Road, (heading towards town), then at the junction of Victoria Shopping Centre, turning right into Shakespeare Street and then right again up North Sherwood Street before entering the Arboretum Park.

To keep you entertained throughout the day, there will be performances by former band member of N Tance - Kelly Llorenna, Mark Read from A1, the alternative rock band Kenelis, in addition to a rapper, lots of local talent and much more.

Look out for the Nottingham Pride 'Speaker's Corner' where you'll be able to hear speeches, including Tom Robinson amongst others.

The event runs from 12noon to 6pm, see you there!
