On Wednesday the 2nd April the 2008/09 FRANK Bus was unveiled at a star studded event in Nottingham’s Old Market Square.

The Crime and Drugs Partnership is very grateful to all our clubs for their support which has provided a unique opportunity to gather the city’s sporting elite together to promote FRANK to all the young people of Nottingham.

The players were joined for the official ribbon cutting ceremony by Jon Collins, Leader of Nottingham City Council and Derek Stewart OBE, Chair of the Crime and Drugs Partnership.

The Home Office also showcased the National FRANK Resource Bus for the day and was lined up alongside the bus in the Square.

The converted London Routemaster is kitted out with all sorts of interactive gadgets and saw loads of visitors trying out the various games and interactive videos, including Drugs Mugs, the 3D simulator.

Derek Stewart, Chair of the Crime and Drugs Partnership said:

"Nottingham Crime and Drugs Partnership have been long time supporters of the FRANK Helpline and we believe that this National resource is of tremendous help to young people and their families here in Nottingham.

The FRANK Helpline enables young people and their friends and families to talk openly and confidentially about Drugs and Alcohol and empower themselves with credible and reliable information.

To have all our professional sports teams taking part in the launch makes the launch even more special, we know that all our local teams are community clubs and their endorsement of this initiative will ensure that many more young people benefit from the excellent resources that FRANK has to offer."
