Needs Assessment and Performance Information
As part of our responsibility to commission drug treatment services that meet the needs of local drug users, their families and carers, and the wider community; the Partnership is required to have a thorough understanding of the local problem drug using population
Each year the Crime & Drugs Partnership completes a comprehensive needs assessment looking at the needs of local drug users and where the current treatment system does or does not meet these needs. This ongoing needs assessment process shapes the aims and objectives for the Adult Drug Treatment Plan and drug treatment delivery for the coming year.
Local and National research consistently highlights that there are an estimated 4,020 problematic drug users resident in Nottingham City. In summary, there is a high prevalence of heroin and crack cocaine use within this group.
Further information on local problem drug use is contained within the following needs assessments and crime and drugs audits - which will be available to download from this section shortly.
This section also contains the most up-to-date information on how the Crime & Drugs Partnership is performing against key performance indicators in relation to drug treatment and drug offending.
