Drug & Alcohol Treatment

Nottingham Crime & Drugs Partnership commission and performance manage a local system of drug treatment interventions and services to enable people with drug problems to overcome them and live healthy and crime-free lives.

The Partnership is working with local drug treatment providers to increase the numbers accessing drug treatment to 3,000 by the end of March 2008, this will see over an extra 1000 people in drug treatment since 2005/06.

There are a wide range of drug treatment options within Nottingham that have been established to respond to the needs of local problem drug using communities. Full details of the services available to drug users and their families and carers are available in this section.

Further information on such organisations like the National Treatment Agency and links to national strategies and guidance are accessible from the link on the left hand side of this page.

The Drug Intervention Programme is a national development to increase the number of drug using offenders accessing drug treatment through the criminal justice system. Further information on how this operates locally is available in this section.
